DRIVERLESS CARS

A driverless car also known as a self-driving car is a vehicle which can move safely with little or no human control. To be able to do so, a driverless car often relies on a lot of sensors. These sensors help collect information about objects in their way and the best route to follow. Many believe that driverless cars can help reduce the number of accidents on the roads. They also allow disabled people to control and travel around more easily. Driverless cars are still in development in many countries and only some of them have been used on the road. For example, Waymo was the first company to offer driverless taxi rides to the general public in Arizona, the USA, in 2020. However, there are some challenges for the development of driverless cars. Many people are worried about safety, especially when there can be both driverless and manned cars on the roads. Others also raise their concern about job losses, as a large number of drivers may become unemployed in the future due to the rising popularity of driverless cars.
